During our 9 years online, Nicole’s Magic has sported several different layouts, from a range of designers.

I’m a big believer in classy, original layouts that are made to reflect the celebrity.

Version One
Made by Jess
Online in 2002
For our very first layout I wanted something fun, bright and that would be popular – what better pictures to choose that Moulin Rouge ones!?

Version Two
Made by Jess
Online in 2002
I decided to try something a bit more elegant looking for our 2nd layout, and loved this new shot from UK Vogue.

Version Three
Made by Jess
Online in 2002
I tried a 3-column layout next, to attempt to fit more fun stuff to catch people’s eyes in the sidebar. I used one of the most identifiable photoshoots of Nicole’s.

Version Four
Made by Jess
Online in 2002
This layout was designed to emphasise Nic’s gorgeous trademark red hair, and used some new and some older photos.

Version Five
Made by Jess
Online in 2002
For our first Christmas season online, we had a very festive layout featuring new photos from Something Stupid.

Version Six
Made by Jess
Online in early 2003
I absolutely fell in love with the photos from the new Elle magazine, and had to use them immediately in a layout. This layout turned out very elegant and ethereal, and is one of my favourites.

Version Seven
Made by April
Online in early 2003
To celebrate Nic’s Hollywood Star, my good friend April came up with this simple and classic design which gave the site a more professional, tidy look.

Version Eight
Made by April
Online in 2003
I just loved the photos of red-headed Nicole is a beautiful red dress at the 2003 SAG Awards, and April again ame up with this special layout that saw us through the latter stages of the 2003 awards season. One of my all-time favourite layouts.

Version Nine
Made by Jess
Online in 2003
I wanted a smaller, more basic design next, and loved the colours from a new Dogville interview.

Version Ten
Made by Jess
Online in 2003
The site was now getting more established, and I decided I want to try something a bit different with a new layout. I used some lesser seen photos of Nicole from the 90′s, with what I thought was a pretty yet grungey colour scheme.

Version Eleven
Made by Jess
Online in 2003
Again wanting to try something different and grungey, this design was used to promote The Human Stain. The grungey style and blue colours were used to represent the feel of Nicole’s character, Faunia, in the film.

Version Twelve
Made by Jess
Online in 2003
Another Christmas layout, and another fun layout. I played around with pictures from Something Stupid and the new El Corte Ingle Christmas picture.

Version Thirteen
Made by Jess
Online in early 2004
2003 had obviously been a huge year for Nicole, and this layout commemorated that, featuring an Oscar photos, and other snaps from my favourites of 2003.

Version Fourteen
Made by Jess
Online in early 2004
Another film-themed layout, this time for the much publicised Cold Mountain, one of my favourite films.

Version Fifteen
Made by Jess
Online in Spring 2004
I again wanted to try something different, and thought these gorgeous photos from W magazine would be perfect for a Spring layout. I played around with blending the photos and the formation of the sidebar. It didn’t turn out quite as planned, but still some-what of a favourite idea.

Version Sixteen
Made by Jess
Online in mid 2004
It was Nicole’s birthday and I wanted to make something special for it. I decided to use one of my favourite new photos of Nicole, alongside various photos from some of my favourite Nicole films/appearances from over the years. The pink and grey colour scheme is always a classic.

Version Seventeen
Made by Jess
Online in 2004
This layout turned out slightly more yellow than planned, but I liked the graphic and photoshoot.

Version Eighteen
Made by Jess
Online in late 2004
Birth was about to be released and it felt like something special, and I wanted to promote it. I put together this classy, muted layout to match the feel of the film. I tried something new with the navigation, putting it as headings for sections on the sidebar.

Version Nineteen
Made by Jess
Online in late 2004
Christmas layouts are always fun, and this red one combined photos from El Corte Ingle, Something Stupid, and a cute photo of Nic dressed up festively in The Stepford Wives.

Version Twenty
Made by Jess
Online in early 2005
With the new Chanel advert being released, I wanted a new layout that used those photos and was ultra-glamourous. I loved the pink colour and the layout had a ‘sparkly’ feel to it.

Version Twenty One
Made by Jess
Online in 2005
The new In Style photoshoot was just screaming for a fun, colourful, playful layout, and I was pleased when I came up with this. The graphic looked a bit different to the norm, and the colours worked really well.

Version Twenty Two

Online in 2005
This next layout was a complete opposite to the previous – calm, soothing and graceful, perfectly matching the flawless new French Elle photoshoot.

Version Twenty Three
Made by Jess
Online in 2005
I stuck to the elegant theme in this layout, coming up with something simple yet pretty featuring the new Vanity Fair photos, to promote Bewitched.

Version Twenty Four
Made by Jess
Online in 2005/6
I think this layout came about from me playing with the photos in Paint Shop Pro. I just loved these 2005 In Style photos (still), and made this colourful and quirky purple layout. This is definitely one of my favourite layouts, it stayed up for a long time and I remember really loving working on the site when it was up.

Version Twenty Five
Made by Dora
Online in late 2006-early 2007
I loved the previous layout and it took a lot for me to take it down. Dora‘s creation did the trick though. We worked together for a while to get something professional, smart yet still with an air of fansite-fun. I loved the different shades and bars of colour. One of my all-time favourites, no question.

Version Twenty Six
Made by Jess
Online in early 2007
Again going back to a very pretty soft pink design, this layout came from me experimenting in Paint Shop Pro. I loved the simplicity, colours, and rounded sidebar.

Version Twenty Seven
Made by Jess
Online in mid 2007
This was intended to be a special layout, and it was. It was Nicole’s 40th birthday, and her 1st anniversary with Keith Urban, and I envisioned a collage themed layout with a little mention of her marriage. Jess exceeded my expectations. Seeing all the little pictures of Nicole in the collage made me even prouder to run the site, and showed off the many different sides and aspects to Nicole Kidman. A heart-shaped photo of Nicole and Keith completed the layout. A favourite.

Version Twenty Eight
Made by Dora
Online in late 2007/early 2008
With all the publicity around The Golden Compass I thought it would be fitting to have a layout especially for it. This design was much more ‘fansite-y’ than we’d had in a while and I loved the bold colours.

Version Twenty Nine
Made by Dora
Online from 2008
I was now really liking simple, pretty layouts that allowed Nicole’s beauty to show through. These gorgeous, soft photos of Nicole from Australian Harper’s Bazaar were very popular with fans, and Dora again did Nicole and the photos justice with this design.

Version Thirty
Made by Dora
Online in 2008-2009
Dora tried lots of different things for our next layout, and came up with this original design which I thought was classy and professional.

Version Thirty One
Made by Marica
Online from mid 2010 – early 2010
I was really excited for Nine, and thought Marica could offer something really creative to reflect the movie. What she came up with was bold, stunning and unlike something you see on other fansites. This was a fun layout, and I loved looking at it whilst updating the site.

Version Thirty Two
Made by Frederik
Online from mid 2010 – early 2011
I had always wanted a layout from Frederik, and I know he was excited to design a layout for us. We wanted something that would simply represent Nicole Kidman the actress in all her glory. What he came up with was perfect. It showed Nicole exactly as I love her. I spent a long time searching for an appropriate quote to use in a block space in the design, and finally settled on words by Nicole’s friend, the late Anthony Minghella, words that matched the layout and summed up Nicole perfectly. This was probably my favourite layout the site has had, and it would’ve stayed up for a very long time if it was not for…

Version Thirty Three
Made by Mycah
Online from early 2011 – June 2011
Rabbit Hole. The success of this fim blew me away, and I knew I had to celebrate and promote it further through a layout. I know Mycah is just perfect at capturing the feel of what I want and I was over-the-moon with what she made for us.
