Oscar winning Australian actress Nicole Kidman is rumoured to be planning to tie the knot with country singer Keith Urban at Fiji’s Wakaya Island Resort on New Year’s Eve.

Fiji, in recent years has become the preferred destination of choice for nuptials and honeymoons not only among the ordinary but also the rich and famous.

Wakaya Island Resort, media spokesperson Tagi Mate neither confirmed nor denied it when contacted by Fijilive.

“We cannot disclose such information of our house-guests as we have to keep all information about our customers confidential,” said Tagi.

International media reports say the couple will hire out the entire resort for complete privacy. She had spent Christmas twice on the island before.

For the past few weeks Kidman, 38, has been spotted wearing an engagement ring in photographs.

Hollywood reports reveal the actress has already set the legal wheels in motion by drafting a pre-nuptial contract to protect her fortune.

Nicole Kidman is set to marry Keith Urban next spring, according to the Daily Star today.

The pair are planning a low-key ceremony on the beaches of the US Virgin Islands.

A source revealed, “Nicole and Keith are very happy together and are planning to wed as soon as possible. They are both busy with work commitments but are hoping to marry in the spring.

“Nicole and Keith have both been to the Virgin Islands and have fallen in love with the place. And Nicole’s two adopted children Isabella and Connor will attend the event but she doesn’t want any fuss. It will be a chic but simple affair.”

Naomi Watts, a friend of Nicole’s, explained, “Nicole is getting on with it. We have both been busy but we do catch up as often as possible. And yes I can confirm she is very happy.”

Question: Now you’ve talked about the casting of Uma Thurman but in fact she was not your first choice for that role, and that in fact Nicole Kidman was all set to do it. What do you think she would have brought to it differently than Uma and what was it about her that kind of interested you initially?

Stroman: Well, you know, she was initially thought of but I think it was sort of the rehearsal time and I think she was booked with something else in Australia and then that didn’t work out or something. I don’t quite remember the story but in fact, you know, Uma was great. She brought a sweetness to it. She is 6′ 4″ in heels, she’s really Swedish, she loved the physicality of learning how to sing and dance and, you know, slide across a desk and… some things are meant to be. Some things worked out. And hopefully I’ll get to do a project with Nicole someday.

Movie stars Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe look set to make a crocodile farm in remote Australia home as they embark on their latest project.

The pals have been keen to find a film to work on together since filming on 2004′s Eucalyptus fell apart due to apparent script problems and they’re giving up the comforts of home to make their dream come true.

According to newspaper The Kimberly Echo, the couple and director Baz Luhrmann are looking to shoot an unnamed project in Coolibah Station, Northern Territory.

The station, a crocodile sanctuary, will reportedly host 300 crewmembers for three months, while the film, described as a romance set in the 1930s, is shot.

NICOLE Kidman and Keith Urban’s engagement has all but been officially announced and judging by Antonia Kidman’s reaction her big sis really is set to marry the Urban cowboy.

Confidential caught out Kidman Jr when we caught up with her at the launch of the Playhouse Disney Channel yesterday.

When it was suggested that Nicole’s big news must be very exciting for the family, a radiant Kidman quickly exclaimed “yes, yeah”, before realising her slip-up and quickly changing her tone.

“I mean, ah, I guess, ah, no, I don’t know,” she said in a desperate bid to change tack. Hmmm. The sound of wedding bells just got a little louder.

Given that the images of the cosy Kidman and Urban families walking together were splashed around the world last week, the Foxtel presenter couldn’t deny her parents Janelle and Antony’s trip to Nashville, but was staying Mum on Nicole’s pregnancy rumours.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are headed for the altar according to friends close to the couple. Though the Aussie Power Couple™ have tried to keep their love affair private, the pair was spotted in Boston in early November and Nic’s wedding finger was dressed with some serious bling.

The details according to US tabloid Us Weekly puts a price tag on the ice at an estimated $100,000.

If an item in the magazine is to be believed, the reports says it’s a three stone 4-carat piece, with one massive center emerald cut stone, with two emerald cut diamonds on each side.

It’s “unusual and expensive to have three emerald cuts,” diamond expert Sally Morrison dishes to the tabloid. “They have to be such high quality because they reveal every tiny flaw.”

Indeed.

It’s also unusual to have two superstar Australians hook up and fall in love in America – so I guess the ring fits the bill.

Take this with a healthy grain of salt as the stars aren’t talking and reps from both Urban and Nicole still have yet to even confirm the engagement.

Australian actress NICOLE KIDMAN has sparked rumours she is pregnant after being photographed talking to her parents while new love KEITH URBAN pats and strokes her stomach.

The MOULIN ROUGE star, who has two adopted children with ex-husband TOM CRUISE, reportedly accepted the country singer’s marriage proposal just before America’s Thanksgiving holiday (begs24NOV05), and sent a private jet to bring her parents from Australia to the US to meet Urban’s family.

An onlooker says, “They certainly had something they were smiling about as they introduced their parents to each other.

“The whole time they were talking to her parents, Keith was rubbing her belly.

“They all had beaming smiles.”

Oscar winners Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman are Hollywood’s two highest-paid actresses, commanding $20 million and $17 million per film respectively, the Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

Even though “Pretty Woman” siren Roberts, 38, is making fewer movies and spending more time with her young twins, she remains Hollywood’s most powerful female star in salary terms, the Reporter said.

“She’s still perceived as the highest-paid actress in Hollywood,” the industry publication said of the holder of first place on its list of the 10 best-paid movie actresses.

Kidman, also 38, was in second place, mustering $16-17 million per picture since she won the best actress Oscar for her role as Virginia Wolfe in 2003′s “The Hours.”

“This Oscar winner has built her reputation on taking risky roles and accepting smaller fees just for the chance to continue challenging herself — but that doesn’t mean she can’t command the big bucks when she wants to,” the Reporter said.
