Oscar-winning British actor Daniel Day-Lewis reportedly is in negotiations to headline the Hollywood movie musical "Nine." The lead role of Guido Contini in the Rob Marshall-directed picture was left vacant when Javier Bardem dropped out because he was exhausted from working and making the publicity rounds during awards season. Nicole Kidman is tuning up for a film based on the life of British pop singer Dusty Springfield for Fox 2000. Kidman will produce and star in the project, which will reunite the actress with scribe Michael Cunningham, who penned the novel "The Hours." Cunningham is currently writing the Springfield screenplay. Kidman is producing the untitled project through her Fox-based Blossom Films banner. Nicole Kidman couldn't be prouder that her 13-year-old son Connor is following in her famous footsteps. The pregnant actress, 40, is “really excited for Connor,” her rep tells Usmagazine.com. Connor, 13, landed a minor, non-speaking role as a young Will Smith in the drama Seven Pounds. He shot his part over two days more than a month ago, the Associated Press reports. The movie about a man who affects the lives of seven strangers co-stars Rosario Dawson. Kidman adopted Connor and her other daughter, Isabella, 15, with ex Tom Cruise.

Nicole is featured in People Magazine's latest '100 Most Beautiful' issue. The issue has Kate Hudson on the cover and goes on sale on Friday May 2nd. The magazine features a new quote from Nicole, but no new photoshoot.

"Beautiful List" veteran Nicole Kidman made the mag's "Hall of Fame" section and talks candidly for the first time about her pregnancy.

"Being pregnant is one of the most profound experiences…I'm realizing the power and the beauty of being wholly responsible for nurturing, feeding. My blood is running through this little person and bringing it to life. So it's not necessarily that I feel beautiful, it's that I feel a purpose," said Kidman, who is due this summer.
