Videos: Streaming or Downloadable?

My host has allowed a new feature where it is possible to allow streaming videos on sites, ie you can watch the video at the site rather than downloading it ... like youtube.

So my question is, do you prefer to be able to download videos, or would you rather be able to watch them straight away?

I'm not sure which I prefer - on one hand sometimes I would rather watch the vid right away rather than wait for it to download and for it to take up space on my computer; but on the other hand it is nice to have the vids on your computer so you can watch them anytime, especially if you are without internet connection at any time.

I'm not sure whether it is possible to do both ... and even if it was I'm not sure I would do that because it would be twice the work AND space.

So I'd like to hear your thoughts please

I say streaming. It's nice not to have to wait, like you said, and it doesn't take up space on your comp. And if someone wants to be able to dl one of the vids, they can always ask in the forum and we can put up a download link for them. It'll also mean less stealing of clips and reposting them elsewhere if you can't dl them right off the site.

I would say downloadable version, as my internet is dial-up so i cant watch videos online, but as Kelly said you guys who have fast internet could post a downloadable link for us whom have dial-up

downloadable , cauze my internet in slow , plus i can use them in making vids , is this allowed ?

I'd say downloadable because then we get to make vids and I prefer to have them on my computer lol :)
