HOW TO: Change your avatar

001 Go to 'Profile' at the top of every page
002 Scroll down to 'Avatar control panel'
003 Enter the URL to the avatar you want to use. Linking to the avatars at NM is the best thing to do here. Alternatively, upload your own avatar to a free image host.
004 Hit the 'Submit' button.

Where do I get an avatar from?
The various icon/avatar pages at Nicole's Magic is the easiest place to get them from.

How do I use the ones at Nicole's Magic?
Choose the one you want, right click it > properties > URL - copy that URL and paste it into your profile as explained above. That's all you need to do when using an avatar from nkidman.com. You don't need to save the avatar to your computer doing it this way.

Can I upload my own?
Yes, just create an account at imageshack.us, upload your avatar there, copy the direct link URL it gives you, and then do as explained above by pasting the URL into the Profile.

Do I need to add the [img] code?
When adding an avatar to your profile you JUST post the URL (http://www.URLOFAVATAR.COM/AVATAR.JPG) of the avatar, you don't need to use the [img] code or anything else.

i keep trying to do that but its not going well. i went to the avatars page and i right clicked on that one i wanted and i pressed saved as. now i dont know that to do after that. could u help me with that please?? alos i need help logging in to the site. i am logged into the forum but i am not sure if that is to the hwole site also. please help!!

I dont think you can, so you need to upload the photo you want and paste the URL into the space. I suggest you use ImageShack or Photobucket

Jess? Have you changed something on the forum? Some of the newbie's avatars are 150 by 150 pixels. :shocked

Where in the rules you say they can't be bigger than 100 by 100 pixels.

right click that image, click properties, highlight and copy the bit that starts with http:// then go to Profile here and paste that text into the space for Avatars
