SCREEN beauty Nicole Kidman took time out from filming yesterday for a secret tryst with two other global celebrities — Scotland’s pandas Sunshine and Sweetie.
The Hollywood idol queued unnoticed with daughters Sunday Rose, three, and one-year-old Faith to see the pair at Edinburgh Zoo.
But Kidman, 44 — who is shooting new flick The Railway Man with fellow Oscar winner Colin Firth in Scotland — and the kids were left disappointed as the sleepy bears were in their pit.
The family then mingled with other visitors for a tour of the other attractions.
Panda boss Tony Bradford, 35, said: “To see a celeb queuing up with everyone else was quite a shock.
“One of my tour guides had her jaw on the floor — but we just left them to have a nice day.
“None of the others in Nicole’s group noticed her.
“The pandas were inside asleep so they left the tour there.”
Sunshine and Sweetie — Yang Guang and Tian Tian in Chinese — have been a massive hit with visitors since they flew to Scotland from the Far East last year.
It was hoped they would mate quickly and produce a Scots-born baby panda.
But the furry critters failed to hit it off during a brief window of opportunity to get it on and they will now live apart until their next chance to mate in 2013.
A zoo spokeswoman said last night: “Nicole and the children enjoyed a couple of hours wandering around in the lovely sunshine.”
