As expected, Nicole attended the BAFTAs Brits To Watch Event in Los Angeles last night, a highly publicised event which was also attended by Prince William and Kate Middleton! Nic looked stunning in a light blue/green sequinned floor length Elie Saab Couture gown, with Manolo Blahnik heels, Cathy Waterman jewellry, and a Ferragamo clutch. She waved to fans outside the event, and posed on the red carpet with Mary Louise Parker (fact fans, you may be interested to see that in some of the photos with Mary Louise Parker, you can see Nine director Rob Marshall in the background behind them).
Inside the gala, Nicole seemed to be having a very animated conversation with Prince William, and enjoyed a chat with Kate, too! It’s wonderful seeing Nic with these two … especially with Kate, as, in my opinion, Nicole and Kate Middleton are the definition of class and elegance. And proving yet again that she really IS Hollywood royalty, Nicole was given the honour of sitting at the ‘top table’ with the two Royals, alongside Barbara Streisand and James Brolin, and various studio executives. Quite an honour!
Over 85 photos have been added to our Gallery, most of which are in gorgeous HQ! Big thanks to my friend Mariana for several of these photos. Further down this post are a few articles from the event with some interesting tidbits, and I will hunt down more info and hopefully some videos for you tomorrow, all being well. View, enjoy, comment … and then view again

Will and Kate reign over Hollywood at BAFTA’s ‘Brits to Watch’
Prince William and Catherine, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, expanded their domain to include Hollywood, sweeping some of its biggest movie stars off their feet Saturday evening in downtown Los Angeles.
BAFTA, the British film academy over which Prince William presides, hosted its uber-hyped “Brits to Watch” fete, welcoming emerging British artists and some of America’s most treasured talent.
Kate and William get their Hollywood glam on The duchess, in McQueen, made a simple and stunning entrance with her husband on their first Hollywood red carpet. Crowds swelled outside the Belasco Theater for the event, which followed a successful day of polo for the pair.
Nicole Kidman, Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks were just a few of Tinseltown’s royalty present for the occasion.
Younger celebs including Chris Evans, Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Juno Temple, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Jessica Chastain were counted, as well as funnymen Paul Rudd and Judd Apatow, with wife Leslie Mann.
Though the two may be a bit conservative by Hollywood standards, they passed the shmoozing litmus test with flying colors. The duke had many a close conversation, including chats with Streisand and husband James Brolin, as well as Lopez. Kate warmed to Kidman and Garner, enjoying solo conversations while California wine and Grey Goose flowed.
Piers Morgan, an anchor from the newlyweds’ homeland, summed it well: “In terms of pure star quality, William and Kate are the biggest stars in the world,” he said.
Agreed.
“The impact they’ve had on Hollywood, which houses the biggest stars in the world, shows you that they are,” Morgan added.
One tidbit for the Ministry’s devoted followers of Fabulous Parties: Kate and William sat at a well-appointed table with Kidman, Streisand and Brolin.
Also spotted: Mary-Louise Parker, Jonah Hill, Elizabeth Banks, Jason Bateman, Jack Black and Kristin Chenoweth.
Kate and William Dazzle on Red Carpet
Take note, Hollywood – this is how it’s done.
To the screams of hundreds of fans and an explosion of camera flashes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought glamour, grace and star power to a Los Angeles gala Saturday night.
After a day at the polo fields in Santa Barbara, the royal newlyweds donned formal wear – Kate in a lilac Alexander McQueen gown and earrings borrowed from the Queen, William in a classic black tux – and swept down the red carpet at the BAFTA Brits to Watch event.
“In terms of pure star quality, William and Kate are the biggest stars in the world,” said Piers Morgan, among the invited guests at what became the hottest ticket in Hollywood. “The impact they’ve had on Hollywood, which houses the biggest stars in the world, shows you that they are.”
How impressed were the celebrities?
In a town where your worth is gauged by how late you get to show up, the biggest names in the movie industry made sure they arrived early – well before the 8 p.m. start time.
The Arrival
At 8:04 p.m., the motorcade arrived with police motorcycles and squad cars, followed by a black Range Rover. Kate emerged from the rear passenger seat and William from the rear driver’s side seat. They waved to the shrieking crowd behind them, met an event official and walked down the carpet to meet a small group of selected fans.
As they walked into the foyer of the theater, William gave his wife a gentle touch on her left arm in guidance.
The couple were introduced to the 14 table hosts downstairs while upstairs in the ballroom, Duncan Kenworthy, vice chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts – of which Prince William is the president – helped the celebrity-packed audience feel comfortable around royalty.
A Lesson in Manners
“They want to meet all of you. They will try and chat to all of you this evening,” he told guests. “When you meet them, you don’t have to bow and curtsy. You can call them whatever you feel: ‘Your Royal Highness,’ ‘Sir,’ ‘Ma’am,’ ‘William’ and ‘Kate’ – just as the mood takes you.”The best seats in house – at the silver table with the royal couple – went to Nicole Kidman, Barbra Streisand and husband James Brolin, along with studio executives and diplomats.
Also attending were Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively, Jennifer Garner, Dana Delany, Elizabeth Moss, Marie Louise Parker, Kristin Chenoweth, Jason Bateman, Elizabeth Banks, Jack Black, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Jonah Hill and Chris Evans.
