Gwyneth Paltrow, who was lined up to star opposite Nicole in The Danish Girl, is on the cover of the latest issue of US magazine Harper’s Bazaar. In the magazine she confirms that she has dropped out of the movie, due to a location change:

Gwyneth recently parted ways with “The Danish Girl,” a film project she was previously attached to that will star Nicole Kidman, due to a location change, and the blonde told Harper’s that Chris said something about that decision that made her appreciate him more.

“When I pulled out [of 'The Danish Gir'l], he said, ‘I think you’ll be happy with your decision.’ I really lucked out with him. He’s deeply lovely and special,” she said.

“Some days I feel like everyone in my world has plugged themselves into my kidneys. I’m so tired,” she says with a sigh. She even pulled out of a movie with Nicole Kidman, The Danish Girl. With the shoot changing locales, Gwyneth found it too taxing for her little ones.

  1. Uma Thurman should be the one. Among all the famous actresses she is the one who looks Scandinavian (her mother is a Swede). Her and Nic would be great, and Thurman is more popular in Europe than in the US, since The Danish Girl is a European film.

  2. its a little bit sad for me that Gwyneth pulled out i REALLY hope that Nicole will stay and do her very best to make this film and make it a masterpiece!she should tell this great story and it deserves to be told! i am not too sure if Una Thurman is suitable but that be great to see them in together bu t i was thinking maybe her aussie friends Naomi Watts or Cate Blanchett could pull out the part, what do you guys think? =)

  3. Actually, I’d go for Uma Thurman.

She seems to be in every conversation about who should play that role… So, they might as well consider her…
