Today, April 7th, Nicole’s Magic celebrates 8 whole years of being online! The site officially opened it’s doors on April 7th in 2002. 8 years is a long time in the fansite world, and I’m proud this site is still going – and still popular – after all these years. Before I go on to updates and news, I just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported and contributed to the site over the years. I’m so happy to be able to run this site to promote the incredible career of Nicole Kidman, and to be able to share my love for her with you wonderful fans! So here’s to many more years being able to do that here at Nicole’s Magic.
To celebrate our 8 years online I have some new things planned for the site, including new pages, a new feature and a new layout. Unfortunately I still haven’t finished all of them, so check back tomorrow for the start of them. For now though, I’ve started to go through the site and update all the content pages – so far, the majority of the pages within the Site, Web and Interact sections are done. New Captions This and Favourite Outfits have been added, and a new page of Puzzles has been added.
Also, I’ve recently been very inspired by two wonderful other fansites, Winslet Forever and Pfeiffer The Face, both of which feature some fantastic retrospective content within their updates. I think in recent years, attention (in the press, and for movie fans alike) has been taken away from Nicole’s incredible career, so here at Nicole’s Magic I’d really like to move that focus back to her career, as much as possible. If you visit those two fansites above you can get an idea about what I mean. This will be started here by a new feature, coming online tomorrow. I’ll soon be working hard to update the rest of the content here so the site is completely up-to-date, and then I hope to start making more retrospective-focused posts here, looking back at various events and films within Nicole’s career, and hoping to promote more discussion about her career as an actress. This will, of course, be alongside providing the latest news and photos as usual! More on this will be posted about soon.
